I SURVIVED EBOLA! -Dr Ada Igonoh

Dear diary,

The Ebola viral disease recorded it's first case in Nigeria in the month of July when a Liberian infected with the virus came into the country. According to the health minister, the number of confirmed EVD cases in Nigeria are 19, the number of survivors are 12 while the number of deaths recorded so far are seven. He also added that 518 contacts were being monitored in Port Harcourt while the number of contacts being monitored in Lagos was 11. In the midst of all these stories, hope seems very far away, like it's in a distant land. happened to stumble upon an Ebola viral disease survivor's story and trust me, it's something that would renew your hope.

It's the story of Dr Ada Igonoh, a doctor with First Consultants hospital. She was one of the doctors that came in contact with the Liberian that tested positive for the virus. In her interview with Bella naijashe talks about her fears, her strength and her faith. Read it here: Bella Naija interviews Dr Ada Igonoh
